This India 2 Rupee banknote is part of the 1975-1996 series. Its obverse side features a language panel with Hindu text, a peacock, an ornate wheel, the lion capital of Ashoka pillar, and the RBI seal with tiger and palm tree. The reverse side features an image of the Aryabhata satellite orbiting the earth. The note measures 107 x 63 mm and does not contain any security threads however a watermark image of an ornate wheel and the lion capital of the Ashoka pillar are added to the design to enhance the banknote's security. Furthermore, a vertical numeric 2 and vertical RBI are also made visible under a UV light. This note is in uncirculated condition and TAP Authenticated by Banknote World experts.
