This uncirculated 20 Indian rupee banknote is a standard circulation banknote introduced by the Reserve Bank of India in 2001. It is a red, brown, green, and blue banknote that bears the signature of Bimal Jalan, and measures 148 mm x 63 mm. Its obverse side shows the lion capital of Ashoka pillar, a portrait of Mahatma Gandhi, and the RBI logo. Its reverse side depicts a seashore and the language panel. Security features include a solid security thread with demetalized RBI and Hindi text and a watermark of Mahatma Gandhi with a vertical RBI 20. The note was withdrawn in 2016.
