The India 20 Rupee Banknote was issued by the Reserve Bank of India in 2020 with a letter L plate. The obverse of the depicts a portrait of Mahatma Gandhi, the bank seal with a tiger and a palm, and the lion capital of Ashoka pillar. The reverse of the note shows the Ellora Caves, a language panel, and the Swachh Bharat logo that depicts Gandhi’s pair of eyeglasses. The paper bill contains a watermark that reveals an electrotype 20, Mahatma Gandhi, a vertical RBI, and 20. It also bears a registration device in the form of the denomination and a windowed security thread with a demetallized RBI and Indian text. The banknote is 129 x 63 mm in size and is signed by Shaktikanta Das. This particular paper bill is in uncirculated condition.
