Its obverse side shows the lion capital of the Ashoka pillar, a portrait of Mahatma Gandhi, and the RBI seal. Its reverse side depicts a farmer plowing a field with a modern tractor. Its security features include a windowed security thread with a demetalized RBI and India and a watermark of Mahatma Gandhi and a vertical RBI 5. The banknote bears the signature of Bimal Jalan and measures 119 mm x 63 mm. This particular banknote bears the plate letter E and is in uncirculated condition. It has also been TAP authenticated.
