India 5 Rupees Banknote, 2009, P-94Aa, UNC, Plate Letter E

The India 5 Rupee banknote was issued by the Reserve Bank of India in 2009. The banknote's front design depicts a portrait of Mahatma Gandhi, the ancient Lion Capital of the Ashoka Pillar, flowers, and the RBI seal with a tiger and a palm tree. The reverse side of the note depicts a farmer plowing a field using a modern tractor with a beautiful sunrise in the background along with the printing date of the note on the lower center. The banknote's security features of the note include a windowed security thread with demetalized RBI and Hindu text, and a watermark image of Mahatma Gandhi, vertical RBI, and numeric 5. The note measures 118 x 63 mm and is signed by Duvvuri Subbarao. This particular banknote has the letter R plate and is in uncirculated condition.
