This uncirculated 500 Indian rupee banknote is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Reserve Bank of India. It is a brown, yellow, green, and purple banknote that is dated 2015, bears the signature of Raghuram G. Rajan, and measures 168 mm x 73 mm. Its obverse side shows the RBI seal, the lion capital of Ashoka pillar, and a portrait of Mahatma Gandhi. Its reverse side depicts a language panel and the statue of Gandhi leading the nation by Gyarah Murti. Security features include a 3-mm wide green-to-blue windowed security thread with demetalized RBI and Hindi text, a denomination registration device, and a watermark of Gandhi, with an electrotype 500, and a vertical RBI 500.
