This uncirculated 500 Indian rupee note is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Reserve Bank of India in 2023. It is a brown note that bears the signature of Shaktikanta Das and the plate letter P, and measures 150 mm x 63 mm. Its obverse side features Mahatma Gandhi, the lion capital of the Ashoka pillar, and the RBI seal. Its reverse side shows the Swachh Barat logo (Gandhi glasses), a language panel, and the Red Fort in Delhi. Security features include a denomination registration device, a 3-mm wide green-to-blue windowed security thread with a demetalized RBI and India, and a watermark of a horizontal 500, a vertical RBI, Mahatma Gandhi, and a vertical electrotype 500.
