The Indonesia 1,000 Rupiah Banknote was issued by the Bank Indonesia in 2013 as a replacement banknote. It comes in a color combination of green orange and purple. Its obverse features Kapitan Pattimura (Thomas Matulessy) holding a machete. It also depicts the coat of arms of Indonesia. The reverse depicts the Pulau Maitara Dan Tidore (Maitara and Tidore islands), two men on a boat on a lake with mountains and clouds in the background. The banknote contains a solid security thread with printed Bank Indonesia, a watermark that reveals Tjut Meutia, and a registration device in the form of the bank logo. The note is 141 x 65 mm in size and bears the signatures of Darmin Nasution and Budi Mulya. This replacement banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated.
