The Indonesia 1,000 Rupiah banknote was issued by Bank Indonesia in 2018. The obverse of the banknote displays a portrait of Tjut Meutia who was an anti-colonialist. It also shows a map of Indonesia and the National Emblem. Centered on the reverse is a Tari Tifa which means a dancer with a drum. At the right part is the Fort Belgica in Banda Neira, Banda Islands which is located in Maluku Province. An orchid as well as the bank seal can also be found. The banknote’s solid security thread is printed with BANK INDONESIA. The note is 141 x 66 mm in size and bears a watermark that reveals Tjut Meutias. It also has a registration device in the form of a bank logo. This particular Indonesia 1,000 Rupiah paper bill has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70 and is in uncirculated condition.
