The Indonesia 1,000 Rupiah banknote is a part of the 2018 series which feature national heroes, the highest-level title awarded posthumously by the Government of Indonesia. The obverse of the note displays a portrait of Tjut Meutia who was an anti-colonialist. The bank logo also appears on the front as the banknote's registration device. The map of Indonesia and the National Emblem is also visible. Centered on the bills reverse is a Tari Tifa which means a dancer with a drum. At the right part is the Fort Belgica in Banda Neira, Banda Islands which is located in Maluku Province. An orchid as well as the bank seal can also be found. The banknotes solid security thread is printed with BANK INDONESIA. Signed by Finance Minister Agus Martowardojo and Sri Mulyani Indrawati, the 141 x 66 mm paper money has Tjut Meutias portrait as its watermark. This particular Indonesia 1,000 Rupiah paper bill has been TAP authenticated and is in uncirculated condition.
