This uncirculated 20,000 Indonesian rupiah banknote was issued by the Bank Indonesia in 2016. It bears the signatures of Bank Indonesia Governor Agus Dermawan Wintarto Martowardojo and Finance Minister Mulyani Indrawati. Its obverse side features the national emblem, the map of Indonesia, and a portrait of the first Sulawesi governor Dr. Gerungan Saul Samuel Jacob Ratulangi. Its reverse side depicts a sea turtle swimming near the Derawan Islands in East Kalimantan, a black orchid flower, a Tari Gong dancer, and the Bank Indonesia logo. Security features include Omron rings, a windowed security thread with demetalized BI 20000, fluorescent serial numbers, a Bank Indonesia logo registration device, and fluorescent UV designs. Its dimensions are 147 mm x 66 mm.
