The Indonesia 5,000 Rupiah Banknote was released by the Bank Indonesia in 1997. The banknote has hints of brown, green, red, blue, and yellow. Its obverse features a Sasando Rote which is a harp-like traditional stringed musical instrument from Rote Island. It also shows the coat of arms of Indonesia. The reverse of the paper bill features three crater lakes of Kelimutu volcano. The banknote’s security features include a solid security thread with printed BANK INDONESIA and a watermark that reflects Tjut Meutia. The note is 144 x 72 mm in size and is signed by Hasudungan Tampubolon and Adrianus Mooy. This particular paper bill is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated.
