The Indonesia 5,000 Rupiah banknote is part of the family of banknotes issued in 2014. The obverse bears the portrait of Tuanku Imam Bondjol who is a prominent leader of the Padri movement. It also shows the national emblem of Indonesia and the Bank of Indonesias logo. The back of this 143 x 65 mm paper money features Pengrajin Tenun or weaving craftsmen and Pandai Sikek - Sumatera Barat (Sikek Beach in West Sumatra). It also shows a woman with a handloom, wearing a native costume. The Indonesia 5,000 Rupiah banknote has a solid security thread and a portrait of a national heroine Tjut Meutia.
