This 50,000 Indonesian rupiah note was printed and issued in 1998 and signed by Bank Governor Joseph Soedradjad Djiwandono and Director Boediono. It has the same design as the 50,000 rupiah polymer note that was issued in 1993 to commemorate the completion of the first long-term 25-year development period. Its front side highlights the different development programs enacted under the Suharto administration including agriculture, infrastructure, education, and medicine. Suharto, the Father of Indonesian Development, is placed in the center of these programs. Its reverse side depicts a Boeing 747 flying above the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Jakarta. The note has a windowed security thread with demetalized BI and a watermark of Wage Rudolf Soepratman. Its dimensions are 152 mm by 76 mm. This note is in uncirculated condition and TAP Authenticated by Banknote World experts.
