Indonesia 50,000 Rupiah Banknote, 1998, P-136d, UNC

The last banknote to feature former President Suharto on the obverse side, the 50,000 rupiah banknote highlighted the progress and developments under President Suhartos administration. The obverse also features different scenes that indicate progress: water buffalos plowing the fields, a satellite, a graduation ceremony, the highway interchange, a jet plane, an off-shore oil platform, a petroleum refinery site, and a doctor and nurse. The reverse side of the note shows a Boeing 747 that has just departed the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Jakarta. The watermark of the note is Wage Rudolf Soepratman. The note also has a solid security thread with demetalized BANK. The note measures 152 mm by 76 mm.
