Iraq 10 Dinars Banknote, 1981 (AH1401), P-71a.2, UNC

The Iraq 10 Dinar Banknote was issued by the Central Bank of Iraq in 1981. It has hints of purple, light blue, and violet. The obverse features a geometric drawing of optics and a portrait of scientist Abu Ali al-Hassan ibn al-Haitham who was also known as Alhazen and is referred to as the Father of Modern Optics. The reverse depicts the al-Habda minaret and trees at the Great Nur al-Din mosque in Mosul. The banknote contains a solid security thread and a watermark that reflects a horse’ss head. It is 170 x 78 mm in size and bears the signature of Hassan al-Najafi. This particular paper bill is in uncirculated condition.
