The Iraq 5,000 Dinars is from the 2003-2013 series that introduced advanced anti-forgery security measures. It is a purple, blue, and orange banknote that measures 159 x 78 mm. The front side shows the Gali Ali Beg waterfall in Kurdistan. The back side features the Fortress of Al-Ukhether in the deserts of Karbala, Iraq. The banknote also has a solid security thread and watermarked with the image of a horses head. It is designed and printed by Thomas de la Rue, who now owns the worlds largest commercial security printer and papermaker.
