The Iraq 50 Dinar banknote was released by the Central Bank of Iraq in 2003, designed and printed by Thomas De La Rue. The banknote is in a combination of purple and orange. Featured on its obverse are grain silos at the port of Basrah and a ship at a dock. The reverse of the paper bill depicts date palm trees. The banknote carries a solid security thread with a demetallized Arabic text and a watermark that shows the head of a horse. The paper bill is 130 x 65 mm in size and is in uncirculated condition. This particular replacement banknote has been TAP authenticated.
