The Iraq 500 Dinars banknote is part of the family of notes issued in 2018 with intaglio symbols for the visually impaired. Centered on the obverse of the note is the Dukan Dam set on the Lesser Zab River in Sulaimania Governorate. The back features a statue of a winged bull from the Palace of Khorsabad in Dur-Sharrukin or the Fortress of Sargon and an Assyrian priest. The banknotes solid security thread has a demetallized Arabic text. This 142 x 66 mm paper bill has a horse head as its watermark.
