The obverse features Medb, the legendary Queen of Connaught. It also shows a pre-Christian geometric design found on bone slips and an excerpt from the Tain. The reverse depicts an extract from the 12th century “Book of the Dun Cow”. The note has a solid security thread and a watermark that reveals Lady Lavery. The note is 148 x 78 mm in size.
