This Ireland 1 Pound banknote was issued 1989. It is printed on paper and measures 135 x 70 mm. The banknote's front design depicts the bank seal with a seated woman, flowers, Medusa heads, and the coats of arms of the Northern Ireland counties namely Tyrone, Antrim, Down, Londonderry, Armagh, and Fermanagh. Along with the Celtic pattern as the registration device, a chevron, and flowers. The reverse side features the Queens University of Belfast buildings along with a carving of an owl with wisdom and justice scales, a Celtic pattern, and a chevron. The note is equipped with a yellow solid security thread and a Medusa head watermark to enhance its security features. This banknote has been given a grade of 66 by the Paper Money Guaranty.
