This Lucky Irish Penny coin is in mint condition. It was part of the last series of Irish coins that followed the old system of currency. It was minted in 1968 and was demonetized a year later in 1969 when Ireland adopted the decimalized system. It was designed by Percy Metcalfe. Its obverse side features an Irish harp. Its reverse side features a hen and its chicks. It has smooth edges, a diameter of 30.9 mm, and a weight of 9.45 g. This coin comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
