This Israel 20 New Sheqalim banknote was issued in 2008 and is the first polymer banknote issued in Israel. Its obverse features Moshe Sharett who served as Prime Minister of the country. It also shows an excerpt of Sharett’s Speech, a flag-raising ceremony at the United Nations, and the Star of David. The reverse of the note depicts the Tower and Stockade settlement, the Jewish Brigade volunteers during the Second World War and an excerpt of Sharett’s radio address. The banknote bears a watermark that reflects Moshe Sharett. It is 138 x 71 mm in size and is in uncirculated condition.
