Italy 1,000 Lire Banknote, 1990, P-114a, UNC, TAP 60-70 Authenticated

The Italy 1,000 Lire Banknote was issued by the Bank of Lebanon in 1990. It has a color purple, green, blue, and orange. Its obverse side honors Maria Montessori, an educator who invented the Montessori method of primary education. It also features the seal of the Maritime Republics (Amalfi, Genoa, Pisa, and Venice). Its reverse side depicts two children studying and the penal code. Security features of the note include a solid security thread and a watermark of Maria Montessori and an electrotype BI monogram. The note is 112 mm x 61 mm in size and is signed by Carlo Azeglio Ciampi and Fortunato Speziali. The note is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
