This used 10,000 Italian lira banknote is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Bank of Italy. It is a blue, purple, orange, red, and green banknote that is dated 3 September 1984, bear the signatures of Antonio Fazio and Fortunato Spezialli, and measures 133 mm x 70 mm. Its obverse side shows the seal of the Maritime Republics, a voltaic pile, and a portrait of Alessandro Volta. Its reverse side depicts a view of the Tempio Voltiano museum in Como and the penal code. Security features include a solid security thread and a watermark of Alessandro Volta with an electrotype BI monogram.
