Reviews:

The Italy 100,000 Lire Banknote was issued by the Bank of Italy in 1983. It comes in a combination of green, black, blue, and brown. Its obverse illustrates a branch detail from Caravaggio’s painting, Rest During the Flight into Egypt. It also shows a gypsy girl and a young man from Caravaggio’s painting “The Fortune Teller”, the seal of the Maritime Republics (Amalfi, Genoa, Pisa, Venice). It also shows Ottavio Leona's portrait of Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio. The reverse depicts Caravaggio's painting “Basket of Fruit”, castle from Caravaggio's painting “The Sacrifice of Isaac”, and the penal code. The banknote contains a solid security thread and a watermark that reveals Caravaggio and an electrotype BI monogram. It measures 156 x 70 mm And bears the signature of Vittorio Stevani and Carlo Azeglio Ciampi. This particular paper bill is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
