This uncirculated 2,000 lire Italy note is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Bank of Italy. It is a green, brown, and orange note that is dated 1983, bear the signatures of Carlo Azeglio Ciampi and Vittorio Stevani, and measures 133 x 65 mm.Its obverse side features Galileo’s pendulum chandelier at the Duomo di Pisa Cathedral, a portrait of Galileo Galilei, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, and the seal of the Maritime Republics. Its reverse side shows a 17th-century map of the Zodiac, a penal code, a telescope, and the Arcetri Observatory. Security features include a solid security thread and a watermark of the head of Evangelista Torricelli.
