This uncirculated 5,000 Italian lira banknote is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Bank of Italy that is dated 4 January 1985 and signed by Fazio and Amici. It is a green, blue, and orange banknote that measures 126 mm x 70 mm. Its obverse side shows the seal of the Maritime Republics (Amalfi, Genoa, Pisa, and Venice), the interior of the Teatro Massimo Bellini in Sicily, and a portrait of Vincenzo Bellini. Its reverse side depicts a scene from the opera “Norma” by Bellini. Security features include a solid security thread and a watermark of Bellini with an electrotype BI monogram.
