This used 5,000 Italian lira note is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Bank of Italy. It is a green, blue, and orange note that is dated 04 January 1985, bear the signatures of Antonio Fazio and Angelo Amici, and measures 126 mm x 70 mm. Its obverse side features the seal of the Maritime Republics (Amalfi, Genoa, Pisa, and Venice), the interior of the Teatro Massimo Bellini in Catania, and a portrait of Vincenzo Bellini. Its reverse side depicts a scene from the opera “Norma” by Bellini. Security features include a solid security thread and a watermark of Vincenzo Bellini with an electrotype BI monogram.
