This used 50,000 Italian lire note is dated 27 March 1992 and signed by Antonio Fazio and Speziali. It is a purple, green, yellow, and orange note that measures 149 mm x 70 mm. Its obverse side features the Fontana del Tritone (Triton Fountain) in Piazza Barberini, Rome, the seal of the Maritime Republics, and the portrait of Gian Lorenzo Bernini. Its reverse side features the interior of St. Peter’s Basilica and “The Vision of Constantine” statue by Barberini. Security features include a solid security thread with printed BANCA D’ITALIA, a plain solid security thread, and a watermark of Bernini with an electrotype BI monogram.
