The Jamaica 1,000 Dollars Banknote was issued by the Bank of Jamaica in 2015. It is predominantly green and blue. The reverse features Michael Norman Manley, the coat of arms of Jamaica, and a giant swallow-tailed butterfly. The reverse depicts butterflies and the Jamaica house building and trees on Hope Road in Kingston. The note contains two security threads. One of which is solid and the other is a red-to-green windowed with a demetallized BOJ 1000. The banknote also has a registration device in the form of a butterfly and a watermark that reveals Michael Manley, an electrotype 1000 and butterfly, and Cornerstones. The note is 145 x 68 mm in size. This particular banknote has been given a grade of 67 by the Paper Money Guaranty.
