The Jamaica 1,000 Dollars Banknote was issued by the Bank of Jamaica in 2021. It has a color combination of blue and green. Its obverse features Michael Norman Manley, the coat of arms of Jamaica, and a giant swallow-tailed butterfly. The reverse depicts butterflies and the Jamaica House building with trees on Hope Road in Kingston. The note contains a registration device in the form of a butterfly. Its watermark reveals Michael Mandy, an electrotype 1000 and butterfly, and cornerstones. It also contains two security threads, one is solid while the other one is a red-to-green windowed with demetallized BOJ 1000. It is 145 x 68 mm in size and is signed by Richard Owen Byles. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60 to 70.
