This uncirculated 5,000 Jamaican dollar note is a commemorative banknote issued by the Bank of Jamaica in 2022 to celebrate the 60th anniversary of independence. It is an orange and brown polymer note that is dated 01 April 2022, bears the signature of Richard Owen Byles, and measures 145 mm x 68 mm. Its obverse side features the 60th-anniversary logo, the national coat of arms, and the portraits of Sir Donald Sangster and Hugh Shearer. Its reverse side shows a view of Highway 2000. Because the note is made of polymer substrate, it does not have a security thread or a watermark. However, it has a simulated windowed security thread with a hummingbird and a demetalized 5000, and a clear window with the portraits of Sir Donald Sangster and Hugh Shearer.
