This uncirculated 50 Jamaican dollar banknote is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Bank of Jamaica. The purple, red, and green banknote is dated 15 January 2004, bears the signature of Bank Governor Derick Milton Latibeaudiere, and measures 145 mm x 68 mm. Its obverse side depicts a portrait of Samuel Sharpe, morning glory flowers, periwinkle flowers, and the national coat of arms. Its reverse side shows a view of Doctor’s Cave Beach in Montego Bay and periwinkle flowers. Security features include a 2-mm wide windowed security thread with a demetalized BOJ 50 and a watermark of a Doctor Bird (red-billed streamertail hummingbird) with an electrotype star.
