This Jamaica 50 Dollar banknote was issued in 2015. It was printed in a Hybrid substrate and measures 145 x 68 mm. The obverse side of the note depicts a portrait of Samuel Sharpe, a Jamaican war slave who led the 1831-32 rebellion. Alongside Sharpe's portrait are the national emblem, morning glory and periwinkle flowers, and parrots in underprint. The reverse side features a beautiful view of the Doctors Cave Beach in Montego Bay with periwinkle flowers on the side. The security features of the note include a windowed security thread with demetalized BOJ 50 and a watermark image of Sam Sharpe with electrotype 50 and a parrot. This note is in uncirculated condition and TAP Authenticated by Banknote World experts.
