Reviews:

This uncirculated 2,000 Japanese yen note was issued by the Bank of Japan in 2000 to commemorate the G8 (Group of Eight) Summit held in Okinawa, Japan. It is a multicolored note that measures 154 mm x 76 mm. Its obverse side shows the main gate of the Shuri Castle in Naha, Okinawa. Its reverse side portrays the scrolls and calligraphy that depict events from the “Tale of Genji”, the world’s first novel, and the “Diary of Lady Murasaki”. Though the note does not have a security thread, it has a watermark of the Gate of Shuri Castle.
