This Japan 2,000 Yen banknote was issued in the year 2000 with a dimension of 154 x 76 mm. Its obverse side features the main gate of the Shuri Castle in Naha, Okinawa. The reverse side features the Scrolls and calligraphy depicting events in The Tale of Genji from the worlds first novel in the early 11th-century and The Diary of Lady Murasaki. The note does not contain any security threads however a watermark image of the Gate of Shuri Castle is added to the design to enhance the banknote's security. This note is in uncirculated condition and TAP Authenticated by Banknote World experts.
