This 1 Jersey pound note is part of the series of banknotes issued by the States of Jersey from 1976 to 1988. It is signed by John Clennett and is part of the KB series. The blue note measures 135 mm long and 67 mm wide. Its obverse side contains a Jersey buttercup flower, three lions passant guardant in a shield, and Anthony Buckleys portrait of Queen Elizabeth II wearing Queen Alexandras Kokoshnik tiara, King George VIs festoon necklace, and Queen Marys floret earrings. Its reverse side features John Singleton Copleys painting, The Death of Major Peirson, an event that occurred during the Battle of Jersey.
