This uncirculated 1 Jersey pound banknote is a commemorative banknote issued by the States of Jersey to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Jersey from German forces during World War II. It is a green banknote that is dated 9 May 1995, bears the signature of George Baird, and measures 128 mm x 65 mm. Its obverse side shows two tree creeper birds, a “50th anniversary of the Liberation of Jersey, 9th May 1995” overprint, the national coat of arms, and a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. Its reverse side depicts the 1-pound note of 1941 and a statue of people holding the flag in Liberation Square. Security features include a solid security thread and a Jersey cow head watermark.
