The only denomination that was circulated in 1990, the 20 Jordanian note is part of a series of banknotes that the Central Bank of Jordan prepared as a precaution against Iraqi intelligence services during the Gulf War. The obverse features a portrait of King Hussein. The reverse features the Hussein Thermal Power Station in Zerqa and a grove of olive trees. The security features of the note are an olive branch registration device, a solid security thread, and a watermark of King Hussein wearing a kuffiyeh. The note is 168 mm long and 84 mm wide.
