The 1959 5 Jordan dinar banknote is part of the first series of bank notes that removed any reference to the authorizing law of 1959. The obverse features the side profile of King Hussein bin Talal. The reverse side features the Al-Khazneh temple in Petra. The security features of the note are a solid security thread and a watermark of King Hussein wearing a kuffiyeh. The note is 164 mm long and 82 mm wide.
