There are two designs that emerged during Archelaus’ reign: one with grapes in front and an anchor at the back; or a prow of a galley in front and a wreath at the back. The weight ranges from 0.8 g to 1.8 g and its diameter ranges from 12 mm to 14.5 mm. The third coin was issued during the reign of Herod Agrippa from 41 CE to 44 CE. The coin features three barley ears in front and an umbrella at the back. Its weight ranges from 1.5 g to 2.7 g and its diameter ranges from 16.5 mm to 18.5 mm.
