The Judaea AE Herod Dynasty box contains three coins that were minted and circulated in the Holy Land during the reign of the Herod dynasty. One coin was issued during the reign of Herod I from 37 BCE to 4 BCE . This coin shows a double cornucopia in front and an anchor at the back. Its weight ranges from 1.2 g to 1.9 g and its diameter ranges from 12 to 13.5 mm. Another coin was issued during the reign of Herod Archelaus from 23 BCE to 18 CE. There are two designs that emerged during Archelaus’ reign: one with grapes in front and an anchor at the back; or a prow of a galley in front and a wreath at the back. The weight ranges from 0.8 g to 1.8 g and its diameter ranges from 12 mm to 14.5 mm. The third coin was issued during the reign of Herod Agrippa from 41 CE to 44 CE. The coin features three barley ears in front and an umbrella at the back. Its weight ranges from 1.5 g to 2.7 g and its diameter ranges from 16.5 mm to 18.5 mm.
