This uncirculated 1,000 Kazakh Tenge is the smallest denomination of the Samruk family of banknotes, which all have the mythical Samruk bird and electrotype denomination as the watermark. The Samruk family also has vertically oriented front sides and horizontally oriented backsides. This note is dated 2014 and signed by the National Bank of Kazakhstan Governor Kairal Kelimbetov. The national emblem, a SPARK feature, flying doves, and two landmarks in the Astanathe OSCE (Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe) building and the Kazak Eli monument all appear on the front side. The outline of Kazakhstan and the landscape of the Ustyurt Plateau appear on the backside. The note has a 4-mm wide StarChrome windowed security thread with the Tenge sign, bird, and 1000 printed in demetalized ink. The note is 134 mm long and 70 mm wide.
