This uncirculated 1 Kazakhstani tenge note is part of the first series of notes issued by the National Bank of Kazakhstan in 1993 and signed by Galym Bainazarov. It is a dark blue note that measures 124 mm x 62 mm. Its obverse side features the Muslim scholar Abu Nasr al-Farabi, one of the greatest Muslim philosophers. Its reverse side shows al-Farabi’s geometrical constructions and formulations and the Kazakhstani coat of arms. Security features include a solid security thread and a back-to-back E pattern watermark. The note was demonetized in 2012.
