This test note by KBA Giori of Switzerland highlights the works and achievements of French novelist Jules Verne. On its obverse are a portrait of Jules Verne, a sextant, a hot air balloon, a globe, an image of Captain Nemo, and the original cover of Around the World in 80 Days in French. The reverse displays the pyramids, a hot air balloon, an image of Captain Nemo, an illustration from Mysterious Island, and the Hetzel poster announcing the Voyages Extraordrinaires book, an anthology that contains Verne's well-known works such as 20,000 Leagues under the Sea and Journey to the Center of the Earth, in 1890. The note does not have a watermark but has a solid security thread. It measures 160 x 72 mm. This specimen banknote is in uncirculated condition.
