The Kenya 1,000 Shillings Banknote was issued by the Central Bank of Kenya in 2001. This brown banknote features the second president, Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi on its oberse. Its reverse side depicts a herd of elephants, cattle egret birds, and two Cape buffalos. Security features include a windowed security thread with a demetalized CBK 1000, a lion head watermark, and an elephant registration device. It measures 150 mm x 80 mm and bears the signatures of Governor Nahashon Ngige Nyagah and Member Mwaghazi Mwachofi. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
