This uncirculated 1,000 Kenyan shilling banknote is a standard circulation banknote that is dated 01 July 2001 and signed by Central Bank Governor Nahashon Ngige Nyagah and Member Mwaghazi Mwachofi. It is a brown note that measures 150 mm x 80 mm. Its obverse side portrays the second president, Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi. Its reverse side depicts a herd of elephants, cattle egret birds, and two Cape buffalos. Security features include a windowed security thread with a demetalized CBK 1000, a lion head watermark, and an elephant registration device.
