This 1,000 Kenyan shilling banknote is dated 16th July 2010 and signed by Central Bank of Kenya Governor Njuguna S. Ndungu and Board Member Joseph Kinyua. It was withdrawn by the Central Bank of Kenya in 2019. The brown note has dimensions of 150 mm x 80 mm. Its obverse side features the first president of Kenya, Mzee Jomo Kenyatta, Mount Kenya, and the Kenyan coat of arms. Its reverse side features a herd of elephants, cattle, egret birds, and two Cape buffalos. Security features of the note include a windowed security thread with demetalized CBK 1000 and a watermark of a lion head with electrotype 1000 and Cornerstones. This note is in uncirculated condition and TAP Authenticated by Banknote World experts.
