This uncirculated 20 Kenyan shilling banknote is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Central Bank of Kenya as part of the family of banknotes that were withdrawn a few months after its release due to Mzee Jomo Kenyatta’s death. It is a blue and yellow banknote that is dated 01 July 1978, bear the signatures of Governor Duncan Nderitu Ndegwa and Member Leonard Kibinge, and measures 146 mm x 75 mm. Its obverse side shows the profile of Kenyatta and the national coat of arms. Its reverse side depicts a pride of six lions in the savannah with Mount Kenya in the background.
