This uncirculated 5 Kenyan shilling banknote is a standard banknote issued by the Central Bank of Kenya. It is a brown-orange banknote that is dated 01 July 1980, bear the signatures of Duncan Nderitu Ndegwa and Leonard Kibinge, and measures 135 mm x 68 mm. Its obverse side shows a portrait of the first president, Mzee Jomo Kenyatta. Its reverse side depicts a view of straw huts and fields, Mount Kenya, and a woman picking coffee berries. Security features include a solid security thread and a lion head watermark. The note was demonetized in 2011.
